Always private client galleries in Pixiproof

Facts as of October 15, 2026.
Yes. Pixiproof client galleries are private. The galleries page puts it this way: create private galleries, share photos and videos, and let clients pick their favourites [2]. Access works by sharing the gallery link. A password is optional [5][6]. Pixiproof does not run a public gallery of your work [7].
What “always private” means here
Galleries are built for client delivery, not for a public showcase of your shoots [2][7]. You decide who gets the link. The security page says you share with a password or a link, and that you control access [6].
That is different from optional password protection. Privacy here means the gallery is not published as a public Pixiproof gallery of your work. A password is an extra gate you can turn on when you want one [5][6]. For how the password option works step by step, see password-protected client gallery.
How clients get in
- Create an account and a gallery. The help center marks the password step as optional [5].
- Upload photos. Video can sit in the same gallery [1][4].
- Publish the gallery. You pay for it based on size; the first gallery up to 1 GB is free, no card required [1][3].
- Send your client the gallery link. They can browse and, if you chose a selection gallery, pick favourites [2][5].
Clients open the gallery in any modern browser on a phone or a desktop. Nothing to install [1]. If you set a password, they also need that password [3][6]. If you share by link only, anyone with the full link can open the gallery, so send it only to the right client.
Password optional, not required
Help says: add a name, set a password (optional), and choose a plan [5]. Security says: share with a password or a link [6].
If you do set a password:
- Only people who know it can see the photos [3].
- Passwords are not stored in plain text [3].
- You cannot reuse the same gallery password across two galleries on one account [3][6].
- You can change the password at any time or delete the whole gallery [3].
For choosing a password a client can type on a phone, and for keeping two clients from sharing access, see one password per gallery.
Previews, watermark and downloads
Clients see previews sized for their screen. They do not get full-resolution print files straight away [3][6]. You control what they can download and when: previews during selection, full-resolution finals after you deliver [1].
A watermark is optional. You can turn on a subtle mark on in-browser previews when you need one [3][6]. Pixiproof also makes it harder to save a photo from the browser menu. It says plainly that no solution eliminates every copy path on the internet, and that it focuses on practical everyday friction [3][6]. More on that: screenshot protection in client galleries.
How long the gallery stays online
A gallery expires after the period you choose: 1 month, 3 months or 12 months [3]. Before it expires, you get an email with an option to extend it [3].
Before you start
- Your first gallery up to 1 GB is free, no card required [1][3].
- After that you pay per gallery when you publish it, or use a Studio subscription [3]. See pay per gallery without a subscription.
- A gallery can let clients pick their favourites [2]. See how clients select photos online.
- Photos and video can sit in one gallery. See photos and videos in one client gallery.
