The questions we get asked most often before a first gallery.
- How do I get started with PixiProof?
- Create an account — your first gallery up to 1 GB is free so you can evaluate the platform calmly. After signing in you can create a gallery right away and upload photos and videos.
- How much does PixiProof cost?
- You can choose pay-per-gallery (prices start at $4 for 1 month / 1 GB on the published matrix) or Studio pooled subscriptions — 100 GB or 300 GB with monthly or annual billing (annual bills 10× monthly). Storage tiers for pay-per-gallery include 1 GB through 100 GB; durations are 1, 3 or 12 months.
- How do I fit more photos into a 1 GB gallery?
- Export previews as compressed JPEGs at a sensible quality and pixel size — they can still look excellent on screen. Smaller files mean more photos within the same space. Detailed tips are in our blog post on optimizing your gallery.
- How does password protection work?
- When you create a gallery you set a password — only people who know it can see the photos. Passwords are not stored in plain text and are protected securely. You cannot reuse the same gallery password across two galleries on one account, which reduces mistakes or accidental access sharing between clients. Change the password anytime or delete the entire gallery.
- How does PixiProof protect my photos and galleries?
- We use proven cloud infrastructure. Gallery passwords are protected; each gallery has a different password than the others on your account. You can enable an optional watermark on previews. Clients see previews sized for their screen — they do not immediately receive full-resolution print files. We also make it harder to save a photo from the browser menu. No solution eliminates 100% of every copy path on the internet, but we focus on practical everyday friction.
- How do clients select photos and videos?
- After you share the gallery, the client browses photos and videos and clicks the shots they want. They see pick counts and cost in real time. When ready they confirm the selection and you get a notification.
- Can I change the gallery plan after creating it?
- Yes. You can move to a larger storage tier before you publish. If your uploads would exceed the gallery limit, the system detects it and prompts you to upgrade the plan.
- What happens when a gallery expires?
- The gallery expires after the selected period (1 month, 3 months or 12 months). Before expiry you receive an email with an option to extend the gallery.
- What is Studio and who is it for?
- Studio is a pooled storage subscription: 100 GB or 300 GB shared across galleries on your account, with one recurring invoice (month to month or annual — annual is 10× monthly, two months free versus twelve separate monthly payments). List prices in your currency start around $17/month (100 GB) and $22/month (300 GB). It fits creators running many concurrent galleries who want predictable overhead; occasional users may prefer pay-per-gallery.
- Who is PixiProof for?
- PixiProof is for photographers and filmmakers across specialties: weddings (large galleries, intuitive access and selection for couples and guests), portraits (professional presentation, picking favourite shots), family sessions (simple frame selection), events and business (fast sharing with clients), plus product photo and video. For anyone who needs straightforward proofing: password-protected galleries, clients choose online, you deliver finals after editing. Pay per gallery suits intermittent volume; add Studio when a shared pool and one invoice simplify your season.
- How does PixiProof compare to Pic-Time, Pixieset, and similar platforms?
- Global leaders often bundle subscriptions with print commerce and full client storefronts. PixiProof stays proofing-first: password-protected galleries, client selection, and notifications — with pay-per-gallery ($4 – $50 on our matrix) or Studio for pooled storage. If you do not need a built-in print store, PixiProof is usually simpler; Polish-speaking support is included. First gallery up to 1 GB is free.
- How does PixiProof compare to Photonesto, Mafelo, and LookAt?
- Those are popular Polish proofing platforms with similar gallery mechanics. PixiProof publishes transparent list prices for both pay-per-gallery ($4 – $50) and Studio ($17 / $22 per month for the two pool sizes). You can mix models: stay on pay-per-gallery or add Studio when volume grows. First gallery up to 1 GB is free.
- Which currency applies to my account, and what do clients pay?
- Your plan prices and wallet are shown in your account currency. When a client pays for a gallery, the charge uses that same currency.
